Bleeding- There may be minor bleeding or redness in saliva is normal for 24hours.
Swelling – Mild swelling is normal after surgery which will subside naturally after few days
Pain- Some soreness at the surgical site which is taken care with help of painkillers prescribed
Please ensure to complete the course of antibiotics prescribed.
Diet- Avoid hot food or drinks for first 24 hours. Semisolid or liquid food/ drinks at room temperature/ cold is preferable.
Do not disturb the surgical area with your tongue. Keep your mouth clean by regular brushing (except surgical area). Luke warm salt water rinses (start after 24 hours)is recommended.
In case of severe pain or swelling report to the dental office.
